Eli turned yet another year older yesterday! Since his birthday landed on a Monday we decided to celebrate this past weekend! The birthday fun started on Friday night...Brian and Kristan offered to take Indi for the night while Eli and I went out! I had made a nice chicken fettuccini alfredo dish for dinner and after that we decided to go to the Ballroom Dancing Class for our ward enrichment night! We learned the Waltz, the Rumba, and Swing with some turns! We both had such a great time, there were a lot of couples there and Eli seemed to think we were the most coordinated pair there! I, being six months pregnant, didn't feel so coordinated! We didn't take any pictures while dancing, just one before we left!
Now every time Eli hears a four-count song, he'll want to practice the Rumba in our living room...we have practiced a couple of times...Indi seems to really enjoy watching us dance!
Of course Eli worked on Saturday, but was finished around 1pm! I had told Eli that we were bored and decided to hang out with Brian and Kristan at their place and that he should just come there right after work! We invited Mandy and Blake over, so we all were there to surprise him! Evidently Eli didn't see any reason in knocking and he used his own key to waltz right in, so it wasn't much of a "SURPRISE," but he still never suspected anything! We all ate some good food and I made him a pan of frosted brownies... his favorite! Later the boys went and launched some rockets they had built while the girls rested! (...a very tiring day!)
I always have to have something on the cake that is associated with Spiderman, and since Spiderman is just too hard to draw with icing...spider webs were the next best thing! The brownies were very good....I would know, I probably ate half the pan....sorry Eli! All in all it was a fun weekend and even though Eli gets a little bummed about getting older, I think he had fun!

Date's are so fun huh, and alot less frequent once you have kids, nice of your friends. So cori, do you know what you're having? when's your due date?
Oh, those brownies look SOOO good! I bet that was fun to dance together! I would like to do something like that with Scott.

Happy 34th Eli!!!! Both you and Bryce could pass for much younger than your age! Cori- you did a great job with all the birthday fun!! I love the cake! You did a great job with the spider webbs. And I'll bet you guys had so much fun dancing! I'm pretty sure I'd have to pay Bryce a lot of money to convince him to go to a dance class with me!:) You guys look really cute in the pic too!!
