A while back Eli and I decided to landscape our backyard ourselves! These are the before pictures....you can see we had started the layout of the yard!
BEFORE
With a lot of help from Eli's parents we installed the sprinkler system, the drip system, 11 plants, 4 trees, landscaping rock, grass and a beautiful pergola that was an extra gift from Eli's parents (Thank you again Rob and Kay-We love it!) Our first gazebo we had gotten for a good deal, but we didn't know that it couldn't handle the monsoon season here in Arizona and it eventually was destroyed. We made sure that the pergola is going NO WHERE with it bolted to ten inch cement blocks buried underground. So, after a lot of hard work here is what our yard looks like now...

YEAH!!!
We still have a few things to finish like spreading the rest of the rock and figuring out what we want at the base of the pergola.
We have learned so much about irrigation systems and landscaping in general! We obviously hit a few speed bumps along the journey, but we are so thrilled with how things have turned out so far!
There is nothing more gratifying than working hard on a project and having it turn out so well!

Your backyard looks great! I love the pergola. We landscaped our backyard ourselves also and really enjoyed it. It is fun! It is so nice to be able to enjoy it when it's done. We are almost done with ours- one more thing left. Good job guys!
