General Updates

Just a few updates on what has been going on in our lives. I have obviously been busy trying to get things done before the baby comes, and one of them was finishing some small "Thank You" gifts for those who helped with our enrichment activity! I love doing this kind of thing, even though I may not be the best at it. Here is a picture of the final project! (Warning: it's a little cheesy!)
To me, you can never go wrong with candy!

I took these next few pictures last Sunday, when Indi was enjoying a little bit of "heaven"! I thought some of them were hilarious!
She gets soooo excited when Eli or I get a bowl of ice cream!
She looks like me when I eat ice cream!
Her "Happy Face"...!

Here are a few pictures of Indi watching some of her favorite movies!
This girl absolutely LOVES the movie "NEMO"!! She is not to be bothered when her movie is on! :)
It was so cute,... when Eli was on the floor watching TV one day after her nap, Indi just came right up, crawled on his back and cuddled up to watch as well!
Lately we have been occupied with getting our backyard landscaped. We are proud to be doing it ourselves! We have found our plants and trees, which we will hopefully get this weekend; we are currently working on our drip system. We plan on laying our own sod; we found rock and flagstone for a fairly cheap price to put at the base of our new Gazebo... (That I built)! :) I must remind you that we pretty much only have plans at this point... not much has happened! We have cleared the yard of weeds and rocks, we have some of the trench dug for the drip system, and that's about it for now! I forgot to take a "before" picture, so I just have a few "early stage" pictures!
Eli and I woke up at 5:30am Monday morning and while Eli started digging the trench I built the gazebo! Of course I needed help to put the pillars on, but we have great friends and neighbors for that! We are going to lay flagstone for the base later on!
You can kind of see a rough outline as to where the grass will be! We are going to have 3 beautiful trees planted along the back wall, with scattered plants placed all around and everything will be surrounded with (hopefully) nice dark desert rock! We are way excited and will keep updating the progress!

Sound like you have been up to a lot! Landscaping your backyard is a lot of work! Grant and I are in the process of doing ours as well! (I will blog about it soon im sure) but we also did our front yard last summer and I had never been so tired/sore from doing such manual labor. I am not much help with the back yard because Grant has to do all the heavy duty lifting etc....Keep it up! Its totally worth it!

Indiannna is the cutest little girl ever!!! Those pictures are so cute and she is getting so big! I love her Nemo slippers to go along with her favorite movie.:) And I'm totally impressed with your landscaping plans! It sounds like it's going to look great. What a big project for you guys but very rewarding knowing that you're doing it yourselves!

Love that pic w/ Indi on Eli's back- so cute! Eli has his typical face- staring with his pinky on his lip! :) So proud that you guys are doing so much of your yard- give us a call when you plan to do more- we've laid sod and dug trees and flowers and everything else! YEAH for yards- Max is gonna flip out!
